Using Personal Values

To use Personal Values it is helpful to have the knowledge associated with how you interpret these values. Every thing we do is based on knowledge. If you do not have the knowledge then you can not use it!

To gain knowledge you need to be aware. Aware of how you receive information and the validity of that information. Aware of yourself, how you feel, how you react. Aware of all that is going on around you at work, home and in the world.

Increasing awareness leads to a growth of information (knowledge) At this point, to make the information useful, you need to make an evaluation. This evaluation is based on the knowledge you currently have, both conscious and more importantly unconcious.

The evaluation process should then lead to you having to make a choice of some sort, be it that of smiling or not smiling at someone or doing, or not doing, as instructed at work. Whatever choice you make leads you down a course of action which in turn provides you with further information which you then choose to become aware of or not and so the process continues.

Listed below are the values shown on the
Personal Values page.   Click on a value for a description of the value, the challenges associated with it and how it can be applied by you in your life. Don't be surprised in what you read.  It is simple, but not necessarily easy to apply instantly as most of us have received childhood conditioning which causes us to have fearful reaction to any prospective change in our personal lives. (see Patterns of Life)

Sharing what you are doing is always helpful.

Another way to help yourself is to make up your own committee comprising people you admire, they don't have to be alive!, and whenever you feel the need for advice or guidance, ask your committee what they would do.

The more you apply these values to your everyday life the greater will be the inner glow of happiness and joy which in turn will reflect in your daily life.
